Hi beauties! Today I have a mini review of a gel eye liner which I have been loving lately! I picked up Inglot’s AMC Gel Eye Liner in no. 77. To be quite honest, I have never been the biggest fan of gel eye liners. Mainly due to the fact that I had never found one that I was overly impressed by. But after discovering this little gem I think it’s safe to say that it has definitely changed my views on gel eye liners. I always found other gel eyeliners to be lacking pigmentation and becoming extremely dry quickly. This gel eye liner is definitely neither of that! And here is why…
Firstly, it is SO black! Like I’m talking super black, which is one of my favourite things about this product. A lot of other gel eye liner’s I have tried just don’t cut it when it comes to pigmentation. They are never black enough for my liking but this is definitely the blackest black!
The texture of this gel liner is also extremely buttery! It is so easy to apply and literally just glides on. You only need the tiniest amount and you’ve got both eyes done! I cannot believe just how creamy this liner is. Despite being so creamy, it has incredible staying power and it literally lasts on my lids ALL DAY! I have never found an eye liner (liquid or gel) to last on my lids this long. I am so impressed! It dries to a matte finish and here is where you might have a problem. It dries extremely fast, so if you make any mistakes you need to act really fast otherwise it will be extremely difficult to correct it. I have heard of people saying that it smudges on them but I personally have not had that problem.
The pros definitely outweigh the cons in this case. It is definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a super opaque, creamy and long lasting gel liner then look no further! At $25 AUD I think it’s quite reasonably priced. As you can see from the swatch it is extremely pigmented! I have always been a liquid liner gal but I think this product has been a game changer for me.
I have only been using this for a few weeks now, so I can’t exactly comment on whether it dries up over time but I will definitely report back over the next few months and let you know how things go!
